Forthcoming Titles Lists
Women’s Studies, 2010: Recent and Forthcoming Titles. Choice, v.47, no. 07, March 2010.

For the eighth year Choice has included women's studies in its popular "Forthcoming" series.  This year's feature highlights more than 225 women's studies titles scheduled for publication in March 2010 or later.  It is designed to provide information about very new or about-to-be-published books that may support academic curricula, particularly at the undergraduate level.

Materials are arranged alphabetically by title within topical categories that are variations on those used in Choice.  As usual, the majority of titles appear in the Language & Literature (42 titles); History, Geography & Area Studies (52 titles); and Sociology (31 titles) sections.

Many publishers responded to our invitation to contribute information about their forthcoming publications; we have checked Library of Congress cataloging-in-publication records and pre-publication announcements for additional titles that fit the criteria.  In all, titles from 70 publishers are listed with basic bibliographic information, publisher's release date, price, and ISBN, when known.  Estimated prices and dates are followed by "e," and paperback releases are indicated by "pbk."  As in all lists of this type, release dates, prices, and even titles are subject to change.  Please check with the publisher or your bookseller for the latest details.

Choice extends special thanks to the publishers' representatives who supplied and verified information about their forthcoming publications.  An alphabetical list of publishers whose works are included in this list appears at the end of this feature, complete with addresses and URLs.  Readers interested in ongoing review coverage of new publications in the women's studies field should also consult the "Women's and Gender Studies" heading in the topical index, which appears at the end of each print issue of the magazine and as a searchable field in the advanced search mode of Choice Reviews Online <http://www.cro2.org/>, our comprehensive online database of reviews back to 1988.
